Voices Unlocked

Back in 2015 as apart of the Magna Carta Anniversary Commemorations, we were approached by Unlock Democracy and asked to undertake an arts based research project that asked the question, what do men and women in prison think about justice and democracy?

A group of drama and music practitioners worked with men and women in HMP Thorn Cross and HMP Styal and their words were documented by Paul Gent. The work was presented in the Palace of Westminster as a part of a symposium on democracy, justice and imprisonment.

This is the video that was presented at that event.
