About TiPP

TiPP work from the belief that theatre and related arts have the power to transform people's lives. We develop and implement participatory arts projects and undertake training for artists and for professionals working in the Criminal Justice System.

TiPP's experienced team of artists and facilitators currently work with a diverse range of groups including young people at risk of offending, adult drug users and adult prisoners. Our projects range from half day workshops to long-term residential projects within institutions.

TiPP created one of the UK's longest established undergraduate training courses in Theatre in the Criminal Justice System.

"I have been in prison for twenty-one years and have done a lot of courses this has got to have been the best I have been on. I was surprised how much I learned on this course." Inmate, HMP Featherstone

TiPP is funded by Arts Council England, NW. On their behalf we act as a regional developmental agency for arts work within the Criminal Justice System.
