Changing Stories– Opportunities for Emerging / Developing Artists
Made possible by Arts Council England's Lottery Funded Grants for the Arts Scheme, Changing Stories is a participatory arts project being delivered in several secure institutions across the north-west. Throughout 2018 we have a number of opportunities for freelance emerging and/ or established participatory artists seeking to develop their practice in secure settings.
We offer full training and support with a thorough induction, including safeguarding.
You will be matched with an experienced arts practitioner with whom you will deliver a series of participatory group sessions in a number of prisons. You will be working with men and women serving custodial sentences, or who may be on remand awaiting sentence. With the lead artist, you will plan, deliver and evaluate sessions, developing your practice with the full support of staff at TiPP.
You will be expected to commit to up to four half day sessions per week. This will include some evening work.
To apply for this role, please download and complete the Freelance Application Form and return with your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be holding interview days throughout the year, so please don't worry of you don't hear from us immediately.
TiPP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. You will also be submitted for national prison security clearance vetting.
