Next Stop
Next Stop is a creative arts initiative targeting some of Greater Manchester’s most underserved young people—those at risk of involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour. Inspired by the Bee Network and our Moments in Transit Project at Deansgate Station project, it brings together partners from youth justice, transport, and the arts to deliver participatory programmes that foster wellbeing, self-expression, and community connection.
Funded by GMCA’s Collaborate fund, Next Stop will see TiPP delivering a range of projects around Greater Manchester. We are working with young people in Wythenshawe, Deansgate, Stockport, Trafford, and Rochdale, delivering on music, digital arts, visual arts, and storytelling workshops. The goal is to create a series of Public Art Installations that will be displayed across the Bee Network’s transport hubs, transforming public spaces and promoting civic pride.
The project is designed to promote Community Engagement through youth-led redesign of community spaces, including murals, lighting, and furnishings, to foster ownership and safer environments. We hope to improve mental health, wellbeing, and resilience among vulnerable youth and reduce anti-social behaviour by creating inclusive, welcoming spaces.
Over the long term, we hope that Next Stop will result in the development of permanent public artworks and redesigned youth spaces and promote public dialogue around youth justice.
A short film capturing the creative journeys and public response to the installations will be produced and shared.
The project started in August 2025 and will run through to spring 2026 and we will be sharing many of the outputs on this page, so come back soon to see more.
