other he teaching

Social work, applied theatre, music and more.

Alongside the teaching we deliver at the University of Manchester we regularly work with many other HE settings, delivering practice based sessions, training and long courses. We established the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's highly succesful prison theatre course, a key component of the Conservatoire's BA Contemporary Perfomance Practice.  For over a decade we worked with small groups of final year students,  preparing them for creative reisdencies in HMP Perth, HMP Friarton, HMP Edinburgh and HMP Cornton Vale.  Our work with conservatoires contnues to the present day, and we currently deliver an annual prison theatre course at Arden School of Theatre.

Alongside these longer courses, we also deliver regular sessions for community theatre students at LIPA, Manchester Metropolitan University and Salford University.

We also have a longstanding and productive relationship with Manchester Metropiltan University's Social Work department, where we deliver skills sessions and provide actors for simulation exercises.

In addition, we offer annual placements to music students from the RNCM and criminology students from Manchester Metropolitan University.  We are happy to respond to individual students looking for a placement and in recent years have hosted students from Birmingham Conservatoire, Nottinghman Trent University and Bishop Grosseteste University.   If you are a student and are interested in finding out more, get in touch and we can have a chat.

We are always interested in establishing new relationships with HE settings, so if you are interested in our work and would like to know more, drop us a line.
